Dr. Sonal Dave

Dr. Sonal Dave is an outstanding orthodontist dedicated to creating beautiful smiles and enhancing facial beauty. She practices with compassion and sensitivity to each patient’s needs. She truly enjoys being able to make a positive impact on patients’ lives and looks forward to building relationships with her patients and their families during their orthodontic journey.  Dr. Dave had braces as a teenager and had an amazing life changing experience and her goal is to recreate this experience for each of her patients.

Dr. Dave’s hard work and extensive educational background has provided her with specialized knowledge and advanced training to deliver the best services and results to her patients.  She began her education at Unionville High School in our neighboring town Kennett Square, PA. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Life Science and a minor in Religious Studies from Penn State University along with several honors and awards. After college, Dr. Dave worked and traveled on a back-packing trip to South East Asia and Japan. Upon her return, she pursued her dental degree from the prestigious Ivy-league school, University of Pennsylvania, and graduated summa cum laude. During her studies there, she was also able to fulfill her love of travel.  Dr. Dave was granted an externship to Fuji where she worked as a dentist treating an underserved population.  After graduation she completed a general practice residency program at Christiana Care Hospital in Wilmington, Delaware. Upon completion of her residency, Dr. Dave had the privilege to return to University of Pennsylvania for her post-doctoral specialized orthodontic training.

Dr. Sonal Dave also understands the importance of continually learning and keeping current in the field of orthodontics. She strives to learn about the most modern advances and techniques by attending continuing education classes and conferences regularly. She is also a member of the American Association of Orthodontics, American Dental Association, the Pennsylvania Dental Association, and the Middle Atlantic Society of Orthodontics.

Dr. Dave is a native to the area and couldn’t be happier to currently reside in Kennett Square, PA. She comes from a very close nit and extensive family that mostly reside in the neighboring towns as well.  She is married to her best friend Jason Walter and together they have four beautiful children. When she is not spending time with her family and friends, she loves being outdoors hiking, walking, and working out.  Lastly, as you already know, one of her true passions is traveling, learning, and experiencing different cultures.
